Fundación Larivière, fotografía y cultura is born to house Jean-Louis Larivière’s collection of Latin American photographs and photo-books, to spread the work of the artists who are a part of it, through exhibitions, publications and other activities, and to become a meeting and reference point for Latin American photogrphy. The foundation promotes since 2018, alongside BAphoto, the Fundación Larivière Award, destined to Latin American artists photo-books. It has collaborated in the exhibit “Mundo Propio”, presented by MALBA in March 2019, displaying XX works of its collection.

The Foundation will be established at Distrito de las Artes, La Boca neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, where it will have exhibition rooms, auditorium and a specialized bookstore.
