Travnik Juan

Nació en Buenos Aires en 1950. Comenzó sus estudios de fotografía en 1966. Ha escrito numerosos catálogos, presentaciones, notas y ensayos sobre la materia. Reportero gráfico, retratista y fotógrafo publicitario, desarrolla una amplia labor docente en el campo de la fotografía creativa. Participó como artista o curador en distintos coloquios, encuentros y festivales internacionales. Fue director de la Fotogalería del Teatro San Martín y el Espacio Fotográfico del Teatro de la Ribera. Es miembro de la Fundación Luz Austral, organizadora de los Encuentros Abiertos – Festival de la Luz. Sus obras figuran en colecciones oficiales y privadas.

Juan Travnik was born in Buenos Aires in 1950, and began his photography studies in 1966. He has written numerous catalogs, presentations, articles and essays on the matter. Photojournalist, portrait photographer and advertising photographer, he has also developed an extensive teaching experience in the field of creative photography. He has participated as an artist or curator at various international colloquiums, encounters and festivals, and was the Director of the San Martin Theatre Photo Gallery and of Espacio Fotográfico del Teatro de la Ribera. He is a member of the Austral Light Foundation, which organizes the Festival of Light. His works can be found in official and private collections.
