Fernández Ibáñez, Roberto

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1955, Roberto Fernández Ibáñez took up photography in 1980, and in the early 90s acquired an interest in Japanese culture, philosophy and the practice of meditation. He discovered the haiku and incorporated it into his photographs. He works as a teacher of laboratory techniques for black-and-white photography.
