Fraire, Cristina

She was born in Buenos Aires and spend her adolescence in Córdoba until 1975. In 1985 she discovers photography and starts to work in several media. Among her distinctions are the Guggenheim Fellowship for her work La Vida Austera, and two Fondo Nacional de las Artes Scolarships. Her photographs are part of the collections of the Houston Museum of Fine Arts de Houston, Bibliothèque Nationale of France, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes of Buenos Aires (Rabo Bank collection) and of private collections in Argentina, USA and the Netherlands.
