Hernández, José

Journalist, politician, legislator and Argentine writer (1834-1886), but above all author of the most famous of gaucho epic poems, Martín Fierro. The first part was published in 1872 (El gaucho Martín Fierro) and the second (La vuelta de Martín Fierro), in 1879.
